Dr. Eades comes through with a quality piece of “Protein Power Investigative Reporting”, pointing out how ridiculously WRONG the mainstream media is about nutrition on a whole – especially regarding carbs and saturated fat. ABCs Charlie Gibson and company, try and vilify saturated fat and calories but ingesting a meal that totals 745 grams of carbs (equal to 3.1 cups of sugar) in one sitting. No wonder they feel sluggish and tired afterward – but its not because of the fat! Quality read for anyone, esp those who may be “on the fence” about fat intake.
Mark Sisson (of Primal Blueprint fame) posts a number of great tips for gaining lean muscle mass – especially for those who have a hard time putting it on (so called “hardgainers”).
Fred’s (trainer and author of Slow Burn) been a long-time proponent of low-carb eating and low-frequency / high-intensity resistance training in order to achieve the “healthy you” inside you. Here is a quick and easy little list that we should all live by if we want to be super-men and women.
(I haven’t been following #7 properly though, Hmmm..)
Danny Roddy writes a great piece about the nutrient deprivation and related problems that occur in people who skip out on quality food, all in the sake of trying to “eat light, and do the right thing”. Their hearts in the right place, but they don’t know they’re causing more harm than good.
More awesome news for anyone who is (erroneously) taking (or has taken) statins for high blood pressure and other heart issues. It seems that its possible muscle damage persists even after the drug is stopped. Scary stuff. Eat right, and tell your prescribing doctor to take a hike.
Off-topic a bit, but it hits on a subject that is near and dear to my heart and is very relevant to low-carb eating (The post title is overly harsh but attention getting, you’ll see). People live their lives by a set “script” of how they’re “supposed to live”, and often end up like mindless zombies dragging through life. We can’t be TRULY happy unless we live by OUR own set of rules and definitions. He talking about blogging, but I think his points are equally as important to business and life.

Amen brother, amen.
Anyone else have some great links they’d like to share this week? Put them in the comments!
