Coming to a telephone pole near you – Mark Sisson’s Primal Blueprint Flyer

Last week, after a few posts of discussing the perils of trying to teach others healthier eating ways (of the ‘primal’ fashion in Mark’s case) and their resistince, not to mention a classic line-up of sarcastic one-liners…
Mark Sisson from MarksDailyApple.com posted a flyer for his ever-popular ‘Primal Blueprint’ lifestyle regimine. I’m a big fan of his blog & this flyer in particular because it helps narrow down a kind of “elevator pitch” for people who are still following the mainstream high-carb / low-fat dogma. I’ve been working on something similar, and this gives me a bit of much needed inspiration.
Anyways, check it out – hey, if you wanted to help the cause by “taking one for the team”, you could even dress like a caveman (Grok it up!) and hand them out to any portly people you see at the mall. Just make sure that you don’t get mistaken for a Geico commercial.
My personal approach is more moderate and forgiving (at least in the early phases), and mirrors more of a ‘low-carb hedonist’ as Dr. Eades (of Protein Power fame) would say – but it tapers off part way through and recognizes that we should essentially be eating “primal”, which is exactly what Mark Sisson is all about.
I’ll be reviewing Mark’s ‘Primal Blueprint’ book soon as well – that is, as soon as it arrives in the mail and i read it. That being said, I’m looking forward to it. Another one for the “low-carb library” (even though I don’t think he’d actually classify it as a “low-carb” diet / lifestyle).
Primal Marketing at its best. Ok, I’m half-kidding about the marketing – Mark is a great guy who really wants to help people, regardless of selling books or supplements – however I can’t help but give him credit for how well everything works together marketing-wise – while at the same time he NEVER sounds like he’s “hocking his own wares”, which is a hard thing to do.

(For those stuck on the Atkins comparison) “Yeah, that’s right. It’s exactly like Atkins. Who needs veggies and fruit? I’m all about the bacon.”

Kudos to him for that.
